The 2022 report (in German) of the German NGO network “International Advocacy Netzwerke” (IAN) – of which the AMP is a member organization – gives an overview of the human rights situation in 17 countries, including the Philippines.
Since 2016 the human rights situation in the Philippines has deteriorated dramatically. Tenthousands were extrajudicially killed in the context of the so-called war on drugs. At the same time, repressions against civil society and critical media escalate. Human rights violations continue ruthlessly amid the pandemic.
