Joint Submission to the Summary of the Stakeholders Report for the UPR 2022

The shadow report is the third joint submission of the AMP member organizations. It highlights key human rights concerns in the Philippines related to the following areas: killings and criminalization of human rights defenders; extrajudicial killings in the context of the so-called war on drugs; impunity; paramilitary groups; indigenous peoples; press freedom; and cooperation with special procedures.

The report is mainly based on information we received from our partner organizations in the Philippines and from publicly available sources. Some of the cases of human rights violations cited in this report were also documented by the AMP through interviews with victims.
